Lodi restaurateur John DeNigris began his career as a dishwasher in the restaurant that he would go on to own, and which would become the Habañero Hots Restaurante and Salsa Company, one of the most popular restaurants and bars in Lodi. The success of Habañero Hots can be attributed in large degree to John's 'hands-on' style of management, in addition to a menu based on family recipes handed down for three generations. When visiting Habañero Hots, you may find John anywhere...in the kitchen helping to get orders served up fresh and piping hot...behind the bar mixing up a batch of his famous margaritas...or greeting guests at the door and seating them personally when things get busy. GRILLED SOUTHWEST CHIPOTLE FLAUTAS - Filled with spicy chipotle chicken, fire-roasted corn, black beans and cheese. Served with fresh guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo.


MEXICAN CHICKEN CEASAR - Fresh cut roman tossed with chipotle ceasar, black olives, and shredded Mexican cotija cheese topped with grilled chicken breast and fresh made tortilla croutons.

CARNE ASADA SALAD - Grilled carne asada steak atop fresh greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette, toasted almond, tomatoes, red onion, and cotija cheese.

FAJITA SALAD - Crisp iceburg lettuce with your choice of ranch or Haba's house dressing, marinated veggies, shredded cheese, and topped with chicken or steak and two work tortillas.

QUESIDILLA SALAD - Fresh greens tossed with grilled chicken, tomatoes, corn relish, and shredded cheese. Served with golden brown quesadilla wedges and Haba's famous cilantro lime honey mustard.

FAMOUS HOUSE SALAD - Crisp lettuce, marinated veggies, our famous house dressing topped with tortilla crunchies.


Prepared the traditional way. We lightly grill corn tortillas and stuff them with the filling of your choice, then top them with cilantro, diced onions, cheese, and lettuce. Dinners include rice, beans, and salad.

FISH TACOS - Lightly seasoned and grilled whitefish with a dash of lime juice. Served folded in a corn tortilla and topped with pico de gallo salsa.

SHRIMP TACOS - Specially seasoned and grilled Tiger Prawns, with a squeeze of lime juice, diced and folded in tortillas, served with pico de gallo salsa.

ASADA TACOS - Grilled carne asada steak or chunks of white meat chicken Fajita-style, seasoned and topped with a hint of lime, folded in corn tortillas and topped with pico de gallo salsa.

TWO TACO DINNER - Two classic ground beef, chicken, or shredded beef tacos. Served with spanish rice and green salad.

TACO TEJENO - Texas-sized flour taco filled with rice, beans, beef, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. Served with salad.


We offer two sizes of burritos, Regular and Grande. Both are served with rice and beans rolled inside with your choice of filling. They are covered with our special sauce and cheese and include our famous salad. Our a la carte section has a selection of smaller burritos to choose from.

LA BOMBA COMBO BURRITO - One side is Chili Colorado and the other is Chicana. Oven baked and topped with Ranchero and green salsa. It's big and kind of neat looking!

SOUTHWEST CHICKEN CHIPOTLE BURRITO - Spicy chipotle chicken, fire-roasted corn and black beans, topped with Mexican gravy, melted jack and sour cream.


TWO BURRITO DINNER - two chicana steak, chili colorado, chicken, or bean and cheese burritos served with spanish rice, beans, and salad.


Fajitas are native to Southwest Texas and were the best kept secret of cowboys. They were a great camp meal that was hearty, full of flavour, and quick to prepare. We've taken that basic fajita recipe and added a couple of things because we don't have to prepare this dish on the open range over a camp fire, although you may want to close your eyes and imagine that scene while you're eating your fajitas. All of our fajitas are specially marinated in spices, grilled with onion, bell pepper, and fresh tomatoes and are served with an assortment of garnishes, rice, beans, salad, and flour tortillas.


CHIPOTLE JACK FAJITAS - Your choice of steak or chicken grilled with chopotle and topped with melted jack cheese.


TEQUILA LIME FAJITAS - Steak or white meat chicken fajitas marinated in our house made tequila lime spice.

VEGGIE FAJITAS - Grilled seasonal veggies with onion, pepper, garlic, and tomato.


These truly are specialities. Made from our own recipes that have been handed down over four generations. Not too fancy, just a down home assortment of dishes that we are sure you will really enjoy. Served with rice, beans, and our famous salad.

CHICKEN AL AJILLO - Strips of grilled chicken breast sautéed with fresh garlic, diced onions, in fresh made sour cream sauce. Served with warm tortillas.

FAMOUS CHILE VERDE - Chunks of lean pork simmered in spice Tomatillo sauce with peppers and onions. Served with warm tortillas.

CHICANA STEAK - Strips of tender tri-tip simmered in Chicana sauce with strips of bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Served with warm tortillas.

CHILI RUBBED STEAK AND SHRIMP - Aged CERTIFIED ANGUS BEEF New York steak and jumbo shrimp marinated and rubbed with a blend of chili and spices, grilled and served with guacamole, real sour cream, Pico de Gallo salsa, and warm flour tortillas.

STEAK RANCHERO - A thick hand cut Rib Eye steak grilled to order and topped with our traditional ranchero sauce and monterey jack cheese. Served with warm tortillas.

CHIMICHANGAS - Choice of Chili Colorado, Chicana steak, or chicken made with a generous portion of cheese rolled into a large flour tortilla and deep fried in pure vegetable oil. These are then topped with ranchero sauce and cheese and baked to golden brown. Served piping hot and garnished with sour cream and guacamole.

CHILI COLORADO - Chunks of steak cooked with spices and put to simmer in tasty red chili sauce. Served with warm tortillas. Won first place in the California State Chili Cook Off!

CARNE ASADA - A Mexican tradition. Thin cuts of CERTIFIED ANGUS BEEF steak grilled to perfection and served with a cheese enchilada, Pico de Gallo, guacamole, and warm corn tortillas.

CAMARONES RANCHERO - Large shrimp sautéed with fresh garlic, onion, peppers, and tomatoes, simmered in Ranchero Sauce. Served with warm tortillas.


Hey Amigos, everyone loves quesadillas and everyone likes them different, so we left it up to you. It starts with two tortillas filled with Monterey jack cheese and green chilis, grilled golden brown. Now pick your favourite! Choose from Chili Colorado, Chicana Steak, Chicken, Chili Verde, or Two Cheese. Includes rice, beans, and salad.

Here are some traditional Mexican favourites and some not so traditional additions to them. All of our chilada dinners are served with rice, beans, and salad.

THE WHOLE ENCHILADA - One giant enchilada filled with seasoned ground beef, chicken, and two cheeses, topped with red, ranchero and verde sauce, melted cheese, and sour cream.

TWO ENCHILADA PLATTER - Chicken, shredded beef, seasoned ground beef, or cheese.

CHORIZO ENCHILADAS - Our chef's home made chorizo filled enchiladas.

STEAK ENCHILADA PLATTER - One enchilada stuffed with chicana steak and one stuffed with steak Colorado topped with melted cheese and sauce.

ENCHILADAS RANCHERO - Seasoned ground beef enchiladas topped with ranchero sauce, melted jack cheese, and real sour cream.

ENCHILADAS VERDES - Beef, chicken or cheese enchiladas topped with Verde sauce and real sour cream.

NEW MEXICO ENCHILADAS - Flat corn tortillas filled with seasoned ground beef and two cheeses, topped with red sauce, two eggs, more cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions.


Our tostadas are served on deep fried corn tortillas, layered with beans, cheese, and the filling of your choice. Then we top the whole thing with fresh shredded lettuce, two cheeses, diced tomatoes, onions, black olives, real sour cream, and fresh guacamole. Served with salad.

ORIGIONAL TOSTADA - Premium shredded beef or chicken simmered with fresh garlic, onions, and peppers or our famous seasoned ground beef.

PINATA - Golden brown tortilla bowl filled with beef, chicken, beans, and rice. Topped with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and fresh tomatoes.

SHRIMP TOSTADA - Grilled fajita-style shrimp, specially seasoned with mexican spices and a hint of lime.

All our burgers are made with certified Angus Beef... we want to serve our customers only the BEST.

HAMBURGER - Seasoned, certified angus beef as you like. Served on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard and mayonnaise. Served with shoestring fries.

EL POLLO BURGER - Grilled boneless, skinless breast of chicken, topped with cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a toasted bun. Served with shoestring fries.

SENIOR ORTEGA BURGER - Our beefy hamburger with all the good stuff and ortega chilis and monterey jack cheese. Served with shoestring fries.

TACO BURGER - It's not a taco and it's not a burger, it's a taco burger. Made with seasoned certified angus beef taco meat, two cheeses, and all the taco fixings. Served with shoestring fries.

You finally got here! Let's face it, this is what you go out to eat for anyway. Whether you want to admit it or not, the dessert section is really the most important section of any menu. We took a lot of time to develop a few really great desserts. So, let's get down to business.

APPLE LA BOMBA - We take spiced sweet apples and roll them in a flour tortilla, deep fry it lightly, then we top it with sweet cinnamon sugar and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream along side of it. Last but not least, we top the whole thing with whipped cream.

DEEP FRIED ICE CREAM - Delicious ice cream glazed with our special coating, quick fried and topped with chocolate, whipped cream, cinnamon, and served in a fried tortilla basket.

SCOOP OF ICE CREAM - Ask your server for flavors

SOPAPILLAS - Golden brown Mexican pastries rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with honey. In Santa Fe they bite one corner and pour the honey inside.

MEXICAN FLAN - We do this dessert the traditional way. Custard flan topped with caramel sauce and whipped cream.

BAJA SUNDAE - Vanilla ice cream topped with baja sauce, toasted coconut, whipped cream and fresh sopapilla.

We proudly use only 100% pure vegetable oil and our tortillas contain no lard. Habanero Hots is committed to quality, freshness, and excellence.
